Dr Wendy Harrod is a Consultant Geriatrician committed to helping older adults maintain their health, independence, and quality of life. She is known for her compassionate, thorough, and personalised approach, working closely with patients and their families to develop practical, evidence-based care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Dr Harrod holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and an MBChB from South Africa and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine. With more than 20 years of clinical experience across acute hospitals, rehabilitation, palliative care, and community medicine, she has extensive expertise in the comprehensive care of older people.
She provides specialist assessment and management of dementia, delirium, frailty, mobility disorders, continence, and other complex geriatric conditions. Her particular interests include perioperative medicine, orthogeriatrics, rehabilitation, and care transitions. Dr Harrod is also passionate about medical education and is actively involved in teaching medical students and mentoring junior doctors.
